Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I canβt speak too much on the atmosphere because we order for pickup and I didnβt pick it up. But, the food was great and the portion size was huge. It is also great for sharing for two people! I really enjoyed it very much.

comme celui-ci en anglais : I would like to report this restaurant because they do not treat delivery drivers with respect. The staff are often rude, and the wait times are consistently too long. They make drivers wait far longer than necessary, which affects our ability to complete deliveries on time. I hope this issue can be addressed to improve the experience for delivery drivers.

Overall, this restaurant left me with mixed feelings. The food was inconsistent. The Meatball Parmigiano sandwich was excellent, and the shrimp appetizer was also very well prepared. The shrimp were flavorful and perfectly cooked. One surprise, though, was that the shrimp came with four slices of bread. Combined with the fries that came with the sandwich, we ended up with far more carbs than we expected. The Truffle Fries were the biggest disappointment. They were basically regular fries with a pile of truffle topping added on top instead of being evenly tossed together. Better restaurants usually distribute the truffle flavor more evenly and finish the dish with touches like chopped parsley or other garnishes. This version felt unfinished. The service was decent but missed an opportunity. The Meatball Parmigiano already comes with a generous serving of regular fries, and since we also ordered the Truffle Fries, we ended up with two large baskets of fries. It would have been nice if our server had pointed that out before we ordered. When I mentioned it afterward, the response was simply, βSorry, but I can give you a box.β It solved the leftover problem, but it didnβt really addr

LaScalaβs never disappoints! From start to finish, everything was absolutely delicious β and the portions were huge. You definitely get your moneyβs worth here. Every dish we ordered was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Itβs the kind of place where youβre already planning what youβre going to order next time before you even leave. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, making it perfect for a night out with friends or a casual dinner. Between the generous portions and how much we loved everything we tried, weβll definitely be back again soon! ππ₯

The BEST! Right next to Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. So good we had gone there twice and ordered UberEats another time within the same week. We had Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parm (both pizza and pasta dishes), Ravioli, Short Rib Pizza, Hot Honey Pizza, Zeppolle, and Cannolis. Have to say we loved it all. Very gourmet, high end food! The Hot Honey Pizza is unique but such a perfect combination of a little heat, a little sweet, and plenty of savory! Very clean restrooms for customers! Excellent service!
